About Avonholm
In the 1990s the front lawn at Avonholm was extended with a view to providing an extensive lawn area to create an ideal location for outdoor wedding celebrations. The lawns are surrounded by pleasant verdant farmland. Whilst extensive car parking can be made available in the paddock beyond Orchard Lodge car park, we recommend coach transport (max. 33 seaters) as the best transport solution for large wedding parties as we have a long avenue leading to Avonholm House which also provides a spectacular venue for wedding photographs. Avonholm House with its Georgian façade, proportions and staircase also provides a beautiful backdrop and venue for your wedding photographs.
Outdoor Wedding Celebrations
Avonholm Estate can be the venue for your wedding ceremony and/or your wedding celebration. All weddings are unique, we have provided below some suggested packages but can flex to meet your specific requirements. Please contact us to see how we can assist you.
Wedding Photos Only:
£500
(based on a maximum of twelve in wedding party)
- Use of the garden, grounds and house frontage for photographs for up to 1 hour
Elopement:
£1,200
(based on a maximum of thirty guests)
- Hire of lawns for up to 2 hours
- Use of the garden, grounds and house frontage for photographs
Garden ceremony:
£2,000
(based on a maximum of 100 guests)
- Hire of lawns for up to 2 hours
- Use of the garden, grounds and house frontage for photographs
Lawn Hire:
£5,000
(based on a maximum of 150 guests)
- (For marquees but not including marquee hire)
- Lawn hire for 5 days (set up, event & take down)
- Use of the garden, grounds and house frontage for photographs
- Hire of Orchard Lodge accommodation with sun deck and hot tub (2 persons) for 5 days
Indoor Weddings
We hope to be in the position to offer Avonholm next year as an indoor venue for small boutique day-time weddings using the ground floor public rooms (and outdoors, weather dependent). We are currently scoping what we can offer but this is likely to be for small wedding parties of no more than 20 persons, which could include wedding ceremony indoors (with the option of outdoors weather dependent). We suggest clients may wish to purchase champagne and canapes (hot and cold) which our staff can serve during the day reception (including refrigeration and warming). Alternatively you may wish to use caterers. Accordingly our likely price structure would be along the lines indicated below but would be subject to negotiation as to your requirements:
Indoor Elopement:
£5,000
(based on a maximum of twenty guests)
- Hire of Avonholm ground floor for up to 4 hours (1-5pm)
- Use of the garden, grounds, house frontage and ground floor for photographs
- Three members of staff to welcome and serve drinks and canapes (drinks and canapes not included)
- Glass hire
