Orchard lodge with outdoor hot tub
Why not book a stay in one of Scotland’s rarest, romantic and exclusive country retreats

Welcome to Orchard Lodge
Orchard lodge is a comfortable, cosy, secluded lodge fully renovated in 2022 in a unique picturesque setting. Orchard lodge is situated around 200 yards from Avonholm House, nestled in woodland, facing south across the unspoilt Avon valley. Price per night ranges from approximately £125-£250 depending on time of year (minimum stay two nights for two persons).
About Orchard Lodge
The lodge has its own generous car park. French windows lead to a glorious sun deck with tinted screening, leading to a lower deck with outdoor electric hot tub. We think you will struggle to find a more spectacular view from your hot tub! Orchard Lodge is exclusive, being currently our only lodge on the Estate.
We welcome longer stays for business guests, please contact us for a quote. Autumn and winter breaks can be equally spectacular and memorable. We have been delighted to welcome couples at Orchard Lodge during their honeymoon.
Orchard Lodge is accessed by three stone stairs leading down from the pathway to the car park and is, unfortunately, therefore not wheelchair friendly.

Amenities
Orchard lodge has modern amenities with a barbecue and sun loungers on the sundeck. There is a table and four chairs in a covered section of the sun deck with power points to enjoy the outdoors whatever the weather. A two person modern electric hot tub is on the lower deck with table and chairs, parasol and netting. The lodge provides bathrobes and towels and is kitted with a coffee maker, George Foreman grill, oven, fridge/freezer, mini bar, TV with Netflix, Bluetooth speaker and wifi.

Orchard Lodge has a fully furnished kitchen and a cosy living room that’s perfect for viewing the peaceful scenery beyond the spacious sun deck. Enjoy a barbecue or picnic in the summer months or enjoy a fondue, outdoor heated blanket and star gazing during your winter stay.
The original Estate plans from the 1800s show that the area was originally used for bee houses and a goose house. Guests can enjoy a tranquil and unique stay, in the heart of nature and may be lucky enough to see the local fauna which includes roe deer, badgers, foxes, buzzards, tawny owls, herons and pipistrelle bats. Or receive an unsolicited visit from our two friendly and adorable Labrador pups Claude and Magnus!
